Gladius Academy was founded on September 30, 2014, and today represents one of the largest, most successful, and dynamically developing martial arts centers in Georgia. The founder and head coach of the academy is Giorgi Oboladze — President of the Georgian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu National Federation, holder of a 5th Dan in Jiu-Jitsu, and a professional Krav Maga instructor. Gladius Academy is a space where sport goes beyond physical training and becomes a way of life. Here, discipline, character, responsibility, and a winning mentality are developed. The academy объединяет various martial arts disciplines: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga (street self-defense), Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and MMA, providing comprehensive development for both professional athletes and beginners. Special attention is dedicated to children’s development. The academy operates groups for children aged 3–5 called “Free Jiu-Jitsu,” where children learn discipline, order, motor skills, coordination, harmonious physical and mental development, as well as the basics of sports psychology. In the 6–14 age groups, the focus is placed on discipline, psychological resilience, responsibility, and teamwork. The main mission of Gladius Academy is not only to raise strong athletes, but also to shape strong, disciplined, and successful citizens. Since 2014, the academy has trained hundreds of athletes and today stands as one of the largest academies in Georgia by number of students. Highly qualified instructors from different countries — Georgia, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, and Azerbaijan — are involved in the training process, creating a unique international environment. All training sessions are conducted in three languages: Georgian, English, and Russian. The philosophy of the academy is based on the holistic development of the individual — the unity of physical, mental, and psychological growth. Special attention is given to sports psychology, motor skill development, balance, and coordination — the foundations that determine both athletic and life success. Gladius Academy actively cooperates with Georgian universities, schools, and various organizations in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage youth involvement in sports. The academy systematically participates in sports and social projects organized by both the public and private sectors, making an important contribution to the development of society. Today, Gladius Academy represents not only a sports center, but also a powerful platform for shaping the next generation — a place where leaders grow, character is built, and champions are born.
